Deodorants
Did you know that sweat doesn’t smell? No, we didn’t either! We sweat about a litre a day, when this is exposed to air it evaporates, but when we are very hot it can collect on the surface and not escape, especially in enclosed areas like our armpits. The smell is actually caused by bacteria that breed in the warm, moist, conditions created by those sweaty nooks and crannies of our body’s.

Sweating is actually very healthy for us as it’s one of the ways in which our bodies get rid of toxins. So rather than use an anti-perspirant which contains aluminium (see our Chemical Concerns page for more info) which stops the body from getting rid of those toxins, we believe it is better to perspire a little, but to be more friendly to other’s around us we choose aluminium free natural deodorants that allow the body to do what it’s designed to do, but stop the bacteria from breeding. So you should be cooler, with fewer toxins and a nice smell.

Gary O: Being a roll-on user for years, I found this deodorant very effective and it smells fresh, but not flowery. Being an arthritis sufferer, I find it very easy to use, unlike spray-on deodorants. It should last at least 2 months with one person using it once a day.
Gary R: As a previous aerosol user I found the change strange initially as it leaves your pits a little wet, but this soon dries out, and the product smells neutrally fresh and is very effective. Suitable for vegans.
